Video Transcript
Hello my name is Ceri Wallace from Kiddie Cooks based in Warrington and on behalf of KidsandCooking.co.uk I am going to show you how to make a fruit crumble with your kids.

First of all you peel, core and quarter the apples and wash the strawberries which the children will then chop in to small pieces and place in an oven proof dish, so they can take them home we have two small ones.

In a separate bowl we have put in the flower and butter which the children will then rub between their fingers to make fine breadcrumbs.

What we need to do next is chop the apples in to small pieces like that and put it in your bowl. You can cut the apples and strawberries up any way you like as long as they cut up nice and small. Put them all in the bowl and then sprinkle some sugar on the top to make it nice and sweet. Next put a small amount of water in to the tray over the fruit. Put the trays to one side.

Now rub the flour and butter together with your fingers to make fine bread crumbs. Rub it through your fingers getting rid of all the lumps of butter. You don't want big lumps of butter on top of your pudding! Now what we are going to do is sprinkle it on top of your pudding like that.

Put it in the oven for 30 minutes at Gas Mark 3 until it is golden on top and the juice is bubbling through. Then leave the crumble to cool slightly once out of the oven before serving to the children.
